In addition to event entry, you will need to enter your valid MTBA licence number at entry. If you are not a MTBA member you can purchase a day licence through Entryzone. Alternatively you can sign up to become a MTBA member at https://www.mtba.asn.au/membership/. Currently, there is an 8 week free trial for new members.
We really do prefer if you enter online before race day as entry on the day creates additional work for our fantastic volunteers who are already stretched getting ready for the race. Early entry also gives us a better idea for organising things like the timing system, number plates and catering. However we do understand that some may need to enter on the day. Entry on the day will cost $40 Seniors and $5 Juniors, cash only. You must present to the Registration desk at 9:30am to enter. You must have an MTBA licence.
Categories (subject to change)
Solo – You compete by yourself. You do as many laps as possible in 3 hours (180 minutes). You can race continuously or you can stop at any time to take a breather. You can race fast or you can just go out and enjoy it at the riding pace that suits you.
Open Male Solo
Open Female Solo
Junior Solo (13 to 15yrs) (2hrs racing)
Junior Solo (16 to 18yrs) (2hrs racing)
Pairs – You and a mate enter the race together as a pair. Only one of you is racing on the track at any one time. You can swap each lap, you can do two laps each then swap or one rider can do 2 laps and second rider do 1 lap, then back to rider 1. It’s up to you how you manage it, as long as only one of you is on the track at a time.
Open Pairs (13+ years old) – Pairs can be any combination of seniors and juniors (ie two seniors, two juniors, or a senior and a junior)
Dirtmaster – The Dirtmaster Event is a special race on a much shorter and separate easier course. Entry and Registration is on the day but you will need to obtain MTBA Race Insurance for your child prior to race day. We will need to see your MTBA Number before your child can race.
Dirtmaster Junior Solo (7 – 12 years old)
Registration
You need to register to collect your Race Number Plate and receive any final instructions from race organisers. When and where can you register:
Saturday 19th October – The day before the race, avoid the queue and save the hassle of needing to register on race morning, you can even go for a familiarisation ride on the race circuit – At the Clubrooms 4pm to 5pm.
Sunday 20th October – Race Day – At the Clubrooms 9:30 to 10:30am. No registrations after 10:30am on race day. The registration and timing crew need the 30min from 10:30 to 11:00 to double check everyone is in the timing system correctly for 11:00am race start.
