Thunder Point access

Thunder Point access

The Thunder Point Access wheels are turning, if you look closely. Councillors and staff Directors were astounded by your words, kindly compiled to video by Colleen Hughson (link) and James Russell (link), about why mountain biking at Thunder Point should not only stay, but continue to improve and grow. Our case is simple, short-term tenure, sub-standard track and threat of a new road through Thunder Point all affect our Club's growth. We want Council's support to be there, longer tenure and more space to build a national level facility. We are encouraged by Nick Bowman's (IMBA) recent visit suggesting a 15 - 20km IMBA standard track is possible for Thunder Point. If you want to talk further about mountain bike access at Thunder Point or elsewhere, get in touch with Gavin, he coordinates the Access sub-committee we have set up. On other access news, Parks Victoria are very happy with our continued use of Tower Hill for the Winter Series.
