Fox Hunt

You are hereby invited to partake in an afternoon of 15th century sport. The Fox Hunt will be conducted at the grounds of Thunder Point Reserve on the 16th of June.

The day’s hunt will commence with a Meet at 10:00am at which time all willing Foxes will sign on to the Master Huntsman’s register.

The Fox Hunt (handicapped MTB event):
One by one the Foxes will be released across the fields into the woodlands of Thunder Point. The slowest Fox will be released first and given a sporting chance, followed by consecutive Foxes on a handicap system. After the last call the Hound will be released to chase down the Foxes.
The Hound will chase down each of its quarry, one by one. If a Fox is caught, they are out. Will any of the Foxes make it to the end?
Any Foxes that elude the Hound will be decorated and admired at the post hunt celebrations.
We shall convene at Thuder Point Manor upon the conclusion of the hunt, whereby we shall feast upon a traditional breakfast whilst telling tales of yesteryear around the fireplace.

Bring a gold piece or two for the post hunt feast!

Casserole Rigmarole

WMTBC presents a winter social gathering for a warm meal and good company. In the style of traditional local casserole nights, we ask that you BYO a casserole or main dish and a desert to share. All meals will placed on a communal table and shared.

We will have a special presentation from EatFit Nutritionist Ilana Jorgensen, an accredited sports nutritionist, who will deliver us MTB specific tips and tricks around pre and post nutrition, hydration, race fuelling and general healthy eating advice.

Also there will be spot prizes during the evening.
